Cupping

Privacy / Account deletion

Delete means delete.

Cupping lets every signed-in user permanently delete their account from inside the app. This page explains the exact steps and consequences.

Updated August 15, 2026

01

Delete your account in the app

  1. Open Cupping and sign in to the account you want to delete.
  2. Open the Profile tab.
  3. Scroll to Danger Zone and select Delete Account.
  4. Review the account, session, and subscription consequences.
  5. Select Continue to Confirmation.
  6. Type DELETE and confirm permanent deletion.
  7. Keep the app open until the server confirms completion.
Deletion requires an internet connection and a valid signed-in session. Nothing is removed from the device until the server confirms the request, so a failed or interrupted attempt can be retried safely.
02

What is permanently deleted

  • Your Cupping authentication account, identities, and active sessions.
  • Your profile, email, display name, role, certifications, and avatar.
  • Your notification tokens and server-side provider revocation credentials.
  • Your RevenueCat customer record used to synchronize Cupping Pro access.
  • Sessions you host, including every sample, participant record, and shared evaluation in those sessions.
  • Your participation and your evaluations in sessions hosted by someone else. The other host's session and other participants remain.
  • Local account, cupping, sync-queue, subscription-cache, and notification data.

This action cannot be undone.

03

Store subscriptions continue separately

Deleting a Cupping account does not cancel an auto-renewable subscription managed by Apple or Google. RevenueCat customer deletion also does not cancel the underlying store billing.

Cancel first at Apple Subscriptions or Google Play Subscriptions if you do not want future renewals. Store billing and transaction records are controlled by Apple or Google under their own terms and retention duties.

04

Limited deletion-recovery record

Cupping does not intentionally retain your profile or cupping data after deletion. To make interrupted requests safely retryable, the server keeps a non-reversible hash of the deleted account identifier, deletion stage, timestamps, and a bounded diagnostic message. It does not retain your account UUID, email, or profile.

A completed record becomes eligible for pruning after 30 days. On a very low-traffic service, physical pruning may happen later because pruning runs with a later successful deletion request. Apple, Google, and payment providers may retain transaction or fraud-prevention records under their own legal obligations.

05

If you cannot complete deletion

Confirm that you are online, signed in to the correct account, and using the latest app version, then retry. If the account is inaccessible or the request repeatedly fails, email support@coffeecupping.app with the subject “Account Deletion Request.” Do not include your password or social sign-in codes. We may ask for limited information to verify account ownership.
